      Abstract
Developing countries needs big fund to perform economic development. Most developing countries face the issue of limited capital for development. This issue could be solved by obtaining more funds from foreign countries, whether from lending or Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). Low inflation rate and stable exchange rate are some indicators to reach macroeconomic stability. It will push investment, consumption, and international trade, which in the end will affect economic development. This research analyzes factors influencing FDI in six ASEAN countries for the periode 2004-2011 using panel data method. The dependent variable in this research is FDI, while the independent variables are real GDP, real exchange rate volatility, real interest rate, and inflation rate. Real GDP significantly has a positive effect on FDI. Real interest rate and inflation rate significantly has a negative effect on FDI. Real volatility exchange rate not significantly on FDI
