      Induksi Pematangan Gonad Belut Sawah Monopterus albus menggunakan Kombinasi Hormon Gonadotropin dan Antidopamin 10 ppm

      Abstract
      Rice field eel is one of fresh water fish with high demand and so far the procurement for rice field eel is obtained from nature, therefore hatchery efforts should be initiated to provide mature broodstock in the early development. This study used female rice field eel size of weight (11.52±2.73 g) with the induction combination of pregnant mare serum gonadotropin (PMSG) and antidopamine with dosage of 0 IU Control, 5 IU PMSG+10ppm AD, 10 IU PMSG+10ppm AD, 15 IU PMSG+10ppm AD. Result indicates that the induction 15 IU PMSG+10ppm AD can increase eel fish gonadosomatic index (GSI) value 4,1% in the fifth week, instead the highest Hepatosomatic index (HSI) value 4,49% in the second week of treatment. Maturing state is obtain from second week until at the end of treatment (fifth week). The highest spesific growth rate (SGR) for 1,35% came from control treatment. The development of egg diameter in the second and fifth week shown from gonads histology. The impact of PMSG hormone can accelerate the maturity of rice field eel female gonads on the size of 11.52±2.73 g and length of 25,37±1,8 cm can be applied as early in the development of semi-natural spawning rice field eel.
       
      Belut sawah merupakan salah satu ikan air tawar dengan permintaan tinggi, akan tetapi sampai saat ini sebagian besar pengadaan belut sawah masih diperoleh dari alam dan jumlahnya semakin berkurang. Pengembangan pembenihan dimulai dengan penyediaan induk matang gonad. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pematangan gonad betina (11.52±2.73 g) dengan metode induksi kombinasi hormon Pregnant mare serum gonadotropin (PMSG) dan antidopamin(AD) pada dosis, (A) 0 (kontrol), (B) 5IU PMSG+10ppm AD, (C) 10IU PMSG+10ppm AD, (D) 15IU PMSG+10ppm AD. Hasil menunjukkan pemberian kombinasi hormon tersebut pada dosis 15 IU PMSG+10ppm AD meningkatkan Gonadosomatic Index (GSI) 4,1% pada minggu 5 dan Hepatosomatic index (HSI) 4,49% pada minggu 2. Tingkat kematangan gonad terjadi pada minggu 2 sampai dengan minggu 5. Spesific growth rate (SGR) tertinggi (1,35%) terjadi pada perlakuan A (kontrol). Perkembangan diameter telur pada minggu ke-2 dan ke-5 dapat dilihat dari histologi gonad. Dapat disimpulkan hormon PMSG mempercepat kematangan gonad betina belut sawah dan merupakan pengembangan awal untuk teknologi pemijahan semi alami belut sawah.
