Karakteristik dan Perilaku Wirausaha Mahasiswa Pengusaha di Institut Pertanian Bogor

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is essential to the welfare of the community. One of the drivers and the main actors of the youth entrepreneurship is the student. The aims of this study was to analyze the characteristics and behaviors of entrepreneurs IPB students and analyze the relationship between individual characteristics of entrepreneurial behavior. Results showed that characteristics of student entrepreneurs who have the highest behavior are women entrepreneurs, have a GPA between 3.00 to 3.50, the father and mother work as private employees, type of business other than farming, sources of capital grants, operating more than two years, have income more than six million per month, and actively participate in the entrepreneurial community. Based on the range Spearman correlation test and Chi-Square showed that most of the characteristics of the respondents had no real relationship with the elements contained in entrepreneurial behavior. There is a real relation between mother work with an entrepreneurial knowledge, a period of entrepreneurial businesses with the knowledge, period of entrepreneurial businesses with action, and participation of the business community with an entrepreneurial attitude

Kewirausahaan memiliki peranan yang sangat penting untuk kesejahteraan masyarakat. Salah satu penggerak dan pelaku utama kewirausahaan adalah generasi muda yaitu mahasiswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis karakteristik dan perilaku mahasiswa pengusaha IPB dan menganalisis hubungan antara karakteristik individu dengan perilaku wirausahanya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik mahasiswa pengusaha yang memiliki perilaku tertinggi adalah mahasiswa pengusaha perempuan, memiliki IPK antara 3,00 - 3,50, pekerjaan ayah dan ibu sebagai pegawai swasta, jenis usaha selain pertanian, sumber modal dari dana hibah, menjalankan usaha lebih dari dua tahun, mempunyai penghasilan lebih dari enam juta per bulan, dan aktif ikut serta dalam komunitas wirausaha. Berdasarkan hasil uji Range Spearman dan uji Chi - Square menunjukkan bahwa sebagian be sar karakteristik responden tidak memiliki hubungan yang nyata dengan unsur - unsur perilaku wirausaha. Hanya terdapat hubungan nyata antara pekerjaan ibu dengan pengetahuan wirausaha, lama usaha dengan pengetahuan wirausaha, lama usaha usaha dengan tinda kan wirausaha , lama usaha dengan perilaku wirausaha, dan keikutsertaan komunitas bisnis dengan sikap wirausaha.
