A research about the effect of dietary protein level on the growth rate and carcass composition of Priangan Sheep was carried out at the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Padjadjaran University, Jatinangor-Sumedang, from July 21 to November 15, 1991. Twenty four Priangan Sheep 6-7 month old and 11-12 kilogram of body weight were used in this experiment, in Completely Randomized factorial design with three dietary protein levels ( 13.35; 16.46 and 19.40) %, Four slaughter weight 13, 15, 17 and 19 kg and two replication of each variables in this experiment are body weight gain, feeding period, dry matter intake, protein intake and carcass composition. The Regression Analysis Allometric Huxley were used to follow the growth and development of body composition, The results of this study, that the protein level of ration at 13.35; 16.46, and 19.40 per cent were not significantly different body weight gain, dry matter consumption and efficient use of rations, but significantly different (P> 0.5) for protein intake ration. Protein levels of 13.35; 16.46 and 19.40 per cent, giving a coefficient of relative growth vary in development time, which is to empty body weight, carcass weight, meat weight, fat weight, tissue weight, oval weight the slaughter weight to provide value b> 1. The growth rate increased with increasing relative slaughter weight, high growth potential and growth, including late maturing period, the percentage of relative growth increases with the slaughter weight. As for the bone weights, gastrointestinal weight and body weight beyond providing value b <1 the slaughter weight. The growth rate decreases with increasing relative slaughter weight, low growth potential and a growth include early maturing, the percentage of relative growth decreases with increasing slaughter weight.en
