      Abstract
Indigofera sp. leaves and bean sprouts waste have high protein and crude fiber content which are potential to be used as feedstuff for sheep. The aim of this research was to evaluate charasteristic fermentatif (VFA parsial and NH3 concentration) and digestibility (DM & OM digestibility) of garut sheep and jonggol sheep through improvement of feed management using Indigofera sp. and bean sprout waste by technicRUSITEC. The rations were complete feed containing 30% of Indigofera sp. and 30% of bean sprout waste. The experiment held October 2011 to March 2012, used factorial completely randomazed design (2 x 2 within 2 replications). First factor was type of ration (Indigofera sp. and bean sproute waste), second factor was rumen fluid of different breed of sheep (garut sheep and jonggol sheep). The data’s were analyzed by SAS 9.1. Significant effect of result would analyzed by Duncan Multiple Range Test. The results showed that pH and VFA partial concentration were not influenced by the ration and breed, but for the NH3 concentration, DMD, and OMD were influenced by the ration. The NH3 concentration of Indigofera sp. (42,25±8,69 mg%) was higher than bean sproute waste (31,90±0,05 mg%) (P<0,05). Whereas Indigofera’s DM (68,63 ± 0,47%) & OM (69,72 ± 1,59%) digestibility was higher than bean sproute waste (DMD (62,71 ± 4,07 %); OMD (63,37 ± 2,65%)) (P<0,05).
