dc.description.abstractMarigold (Tagetes erecta) leaf meal and flower meal cointaned carotenoid which has potential to be source of vitamin A ( function as antioxidant) and can influence yellow color in egg yolk. Marigold contain 18% crude protein in leaf and 10.17% in flower. The objective of this experiment was to determine the hematological profile of laying hen offered ration containing marigold leaf meal, flower meal, and the combination. The treatment were P0 (control ration without marigold), P1 (ration containing 5% marigold leaf meal), P2 (ration containing 5% marigold flower meal), and P3 (ration containing 2.5% marigold leaf meal and 2.5% marigold flower meal). Parameters observed were feed consumption and blood profile such as erythrocyte, hemoglobin, hematocrit (PVC), Mean Cospucular Volume (MCV), and Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin Concentration (MCHC), leukocyte, heterofil, limfosit and ratio heterofil/limfosit. The design of experiment was completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replicates (4 laying hen of each). Result showed that there were no significance differences for erythrocyte, leukocyte, heterofil, limfosit, hemoglobin, hematocrit (PVC), Mean Cospucular Volume (MCV), and Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin Concentration (MCHC) in all treatments. The ration containing 2.5% marigold leaf meal and 2.5% marigold flower meal significantly increased of feed intake compare to the control. Marigold either leaf meal, flower meal, and the combination until 5% has no effect on healthy status of laying hen expressed as hematological profile.en
dc.description.abstractDarah memiliki banyak fungsi penting seperti membawa nutrien dari saluran pencernaan ke jaringan, membawa oksigen dari paru-paru ke jaringan dan karbondioksida dari jaringan ke paru-paru, membawa hormon dan hasil sisa metabolisme ke organ ekstresi. Profil darah ternak akan mengalami perubahan seiring dengan perubahan fungsi fisiologisnya. Marigold merupakan tanaman hias yang sangat mudah tumbuh di Indonesia. Hasil analisis nutrien menunjukkan bahwa daun marigold mengandung protein kasar 18%, serat kasar 8,67% dan energi metabolis 1978 kkal serta bunga marigold mengandung protein kasar 10,17%, serat kasar 15,13% dan energi metabolis 2348 kkal. Marigold juga memiliki kandungan Fe sebesar 167 μg/gram. Melihat dari kandungannya, marigold dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan pakan. Marigold juga memiliki kandungan karotenoid yang sering dimanfaatkan untuk meningkatkan skor warna pada kuning telur. Akan tetapi, masih belum diketahui kondisi fisiologi profil hematologi ayam petelur yang diberi marigold. Profil darah pada hewan tercermin dari jumlah nutrien yang diabsorpsi dan dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu indikator status kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh penambahan tepung daun, tepung bunga serta ,campuran tepung daun dan bunga marigold pada pakan ayam petelur terhadap jumlah eritrosit, kadar hemoglobin (Hb), persentase hematokrit, MCV, MCHC, jumlah leukosit, persentase limfosit, persentase heterofil,dan rasio heterofil/limfosit.
