| dc.description.abstract | This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the use of feed containing Allium sativum and Phyllanthus niruri to control bacterial diseases in catfish grow out. Catfish used in this experiment was as length as 7.27 ± 0.34 cm and as body weight as 0.51 ± 3.53 g. Catfish was maintained in plastic ponds with size of 2 m × 1 m × 0.5 m as many as 12 pieces. The treatments applied were Control (-) (without experimental feeding and without water changing), Control (+) (without experimental feeding and with water changing), Prevention (feeding with Allium sativum dose 1.4% and Phyllanthus niruri 0.7% before water changing for 21 days), medical treatment (feeding with Allium sativum dose 2.8% and Phyllanthus niruri 1.4% after water changing for 14 days). The results demonstrated that the survival in medical treatment reached 95.38% ± 7.43%, that was significantly different from control (+) treatment (P ≤ 0.1). Allium sativum and Phyllanthus niruri treatment with the dose of 2.8% and 1.4% were effective for bacterial disease control in catfish Clarias sp. grow out that showed the highest survival of 95.38%. | en |
