Abstract

This study aims to analyze the attitudes and behavior of mobile phone use in rural youth, to analyze the relationship of rural youth characteristics with their attitude towards mobile phone, to analyze the relationship of rural youth characteristics with their behavior in the use of mobile phone, and analyze the relationship of attitudes with the behavior of rural youth in the use of mobile phone. The study method were quantitative method using kuesioner and support by qualitative method. The results of this study is rural youth tend to have a positive attitude toward mobile phone and behavioral levels high enough in using the mobile phone. There is a close and significant relationship between the level of media and advertising exposure with rural youth behavior in using the phone. In the meantime, there is no close and significant relationship among rural youth attitudes toward the phone with their behavior in using the phone
