Coastal area has many grass species diversity which can be used as feed for ruminant livestock. The result of botanical composition analysis by “dry weight rank” method showed that the coastal zone was dominated by Panicum repens L. (45.46%), the embankment zone was dominated by Cynodon dactylon L. Pers. (30.28%), the rice-field zone was dominated by Cynodon dactylon L. Pers. (35.17%), and the residential zone was dominated by Cynodon dactylon L. Pers. (23.60%). The forage production in Mangunlegi village (except the embankment zone) was 793.64 ton of dry matter per year. This forage production could fulfill 345.68 livestock unit. However the forage production of embankment zone was 96.34 ton of dry matter per year. This forage production could fulfill 41.96 livestock unit. The value of increment capacity of ruminant livestock population (KPPTR) effectively showed that Mangunlegi village can hold the population up to 202.14 livestock units.en
