dc.description.abstractClimbing perch (Anabas testudineus) is a kind of blackfish species that can survive in extremely environment. Furthermore climbing perch is a potential comodity that having high economic value. Generally, the price of climbing perch in Indonesia is ranging between Rp 20.000,00 - Rp 40.000,00 per kg. Nowadays fish-farmers have culturing climbing perch in pond or cage. Seeds of climbing perch in culturing project only be gained from nature. It is because the seeding area still in swamp area that having high content of acid where acidity are in ranging between 3-5. It is needed the research about the growth of climbing perch larvae on certain acidity to solve this problem. The purpose of this research was to determine appropiate acidity for culturing and growing of climbing perch larvae. The parameters of this research were rate of yolk absorption, mouth development, growth of daily weight, growth of length, survival rate, and water quality. The experiment medium used was water with different acidity that are pH 4, pH 5, pH 6, pH 7. The result of this research showed the best treatment of all parameters were in treatment of pH 6 and pH 7. Growth of daily weight was similar in all treatments.en
dc.description.abstractIkan betok (Anabas testudineus) merupakan jenis spesies blackfish, yaitu ikan yang memiliki ketahanan terhadap tekanan lingkungan. Ikan betok juga merupakan salah satu komoditas ikan air tawar yang memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi. Secara umum harga ikan betok di Indonesia berkisar antara Rp 20.000,00 sampai Rp 40.000,00 per kg. Pada saat ini para pembudidaya ikan telah membudidayakan ikan betok di kolam atau keramba. Benih ikan betok untuk usaha budidaya sampai sekarang hanya mengandalkan dari alam. Hal ini kemungkinan dikarenakan daerah pembenihan yang dilakukan masih berada di sekitar rawa yang memiliki tingkat keasaman yang tinggi, yaitu pH pada kisaran 3-5 sehingga menjadikan kondisi lingkungan tidak optimal untuk kelangsungan hidup, pertumbuhan dan reproduksi ikan pada umumnya. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut maka perlu dilakukan penelitian tentang pertumbuhan larva ikan betok pada pH yang berbeda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan pH yang sesuai untuk kelangsungan hidup dan pertumbuhan larva ikan betok. Parameter penelitian yang diamati adalah laju penyerapan kuning telur, perkembangan mulut, laju pertumbuhan bobot harian, pertumbuhan panjang, derajat kelangsungan hidup, dan kualitas air selama pemeliharaan. Media uji yang digunakan adalah air dengan derajat keasaman (pH) 4, 5, 6 dan 7. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan laju penyerapan kuning telur, perkembangan mulut, pertumbuhan panjang dan derajat kelangsungan hidup larva ikan betok terbaik terdapat pada perlakuan pH 6 dan pH 7. Laju pertumbuhan bobot harian tidak berbeda nyata antar perlakuan.
