Aflatoxin is a secondary metabolite from Aspergillus flavus and A. parasiticus that grow on different types of feedstuffs, especially in corn. The addition of methionine in the diet increased the growth, repaired body tissue and increased body resistance against disease and toxic from aflatoxin at a certain level. The experiment was arranged with factorial completely randomized design with four replications, factor A was the level of DL-methionine (0%, 0.25% and 0.35% for starter; 0%, 0.20% and 0.30% for finisher) and factor B was the level of aflatoksin (0 ppb and 150 ppb). Variables measured were water and feed intake, body weight gain, feed conversion, and mortality. The results showed that water and feed intake, and body weight gain increased for finisher broiler fed diet added with DL-methionine. Addition of 0.20% and 0.30% DL-methionine in the diet containing 150 ppb aflatoxin increased water intake. Feed intake and weight gain were also higher for broiler fed diets added with 0.20% DL-methionine. There were no interaction between aflatoxin and addition of DL-methionine on the measured variables. It is concluded that addition of DLmethionine in rations containing aflatoxin affected performance of broiler in finisher period.en
