dc.description.abstract | This research was undertaken to study the effect of humic acid on the growth and productivity of elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum) grown in latosolic soil. The research work was carried out at research-farm of the Department of Animal Nutrition, Faculty of Animal Husbandary, IPB, started from January until June 2006. Randomized Complete Block Design consist of 7 treatments and 4 replications was used to meet the research objectives. The treatment consisted of Control (T0), humegatm 75 ml (T1), humegatm 150 ml (T2), humegatm 225 ml (T3), soils plustm 75 ml (T4), soils plustm 150 ml (T5) and soils plustm 225 ml (T6). Statistical analyses were conducted using ANOVA. The result showed that the use of humic acid in this research condition did not increase significantly the number of tiller/bunch, stem diameter, vertical height, leaf-stem ratio, and dry matter production. | en |
