      Tujuan p e n e l i t i a n i n i adalah untuk memecahkan masalah a i r di daerah transmigrasi pasang s u r u t , dengan cara menurunkan s a l i n i t a s a i r bergaram untuk memperoleh air bersih dan tawar. H a l i t u dilakukan dengan membuat penyuling air energi surya, sehingga diperoleh rancangan yang sesuai menurut keadaan setempat.
