Abstract

PARNAMIAN JOHANNES. EFFECTIVENESS OF COMMUNICATION BETWEEN CASH ASSISTANCE RECIPIENTS AND THE COMPANION OF PROGRAM KELUARGA HARAPAN. Case Balumbang Jaya Sub-Distinct, Bogor. (Supervised by AIDA VITAYALA S. HUBEIS) The objective of this study is analyzing: 1) characteristics of household cash assistance recipients in Balumbang Jaya sub-distinct, Bogor; 2) relation between the characteristics of cash assistance recipients and communication activities of group meeting in Balumbang Jaya sub-distinct; 3) relation between communication activities and the effectiveness of communication in Balumbang Jaya sub-distinct. The sampel of this research is 45 people. The result of the study indicates that 1) most of them do not have income, have children/grandchild/ nephew amounting to between three to five people. Most of cash assistance recipients adults aged with an average low income. They have low formal and non formal education. In most cash assistance recipients everyday use sunda language because they are Sundanese from Bogor area. 2) Not all characteristics of cash assistance recipients have significant relationship with communication activities in the form of group meeting. Characteristic of cash assistance recipients that have very significant relationship with communication activities is only variable language of communication and the number of child/grandchild/nephew. 3) Communication activities of group meetings have signficant relationship with knowledge, attitude and behavioral.
