Aktivitas stimulasi komponen bioaktif rimpang jahe (Zingiber officinale Roscoe) pada sel Limfosit B manusia secara In vitro
Abstract
The effect of two fractions of oleoresin compounds from ginger root on lymphocyte function wele studied by obsetVing B cell proliferations, which wele measured by the /ncorporBlion of 3H-thymidine during cell incubation. The doses of oleoresin compounds IJI'Id its two fractions tested were 50,100, 150, IJI'Id 200 f.J9 per mi. Lymphocyte from hum811 peripheral blood were isolated USing ficoll densly g-adient technique, IJI'Id cultured in the pteSence of the compounds in RPMI-1640 medium for 4 dllfS, with or without the addition of 3 mM pnquli as the Oxidizing agent. The results showed thli the effects of oleoresin IJI'Id its two fractions depended on its doses. OIeotesin and its two fractions increased B ceO proliferation with the highest activity of 456 percent BIlow dose of 50 f.J9 per mi. These resul showed 8 positive effect of oleoresin compound and its two fractions on B ee. functions at /ow doses. It indicated thBl bioactive compounds of gnger root BI /ow concentration have positive effects on humn immune response 8IId this suppoi1s the traditional belief thli ginger Incteases body resist8llce to common cold.
