      Abstract
RADEN RORO CALISTA ATHAYA FINEGARA.

RADEN RORO CALISTA ATHAYA FINEGARA. Land Suitability Analysis for Saline Nile Tilapia Oreochromis niloticus Aquaculture Using the Silvofishery System in Lontar Village, Kemiri District, Tangerang. Supervised by EDDY SUPRIYONO and WILDAN NURUSSALAM. Saline Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) aquaculture using the silvofishery system integrates aquaculture practices with mangrove ecosystems and therefore requires suitable water and soil quality conditions. This study aimed to analyze the suitability of aquaculture sites for saline Nile tilapia using the silvofishery system in Lontar Village, Kemiri District, Tangerang Regency based on water and soil quality. A survey method was conducted at four water quality sampling stations and three soil sampling stations, with soil samples collected at depths of 0, 50, and 100 cm. Site suitability was evaluated using a scoring and weighting method based on water and soil quality parameters. The results showed that water quality suitability was classified as S1 (highly suitable) at Station 1, S2 (moderately suitable) at Stations 2 and 3, and S3 (marginally suitable) at Station 4. The main limiting factors were salinity, alkalinity, total ammonia nitrogen (TAN), and nitrite. All soil sampling points were classified as N (not suitable) for saline Nile tilapia aquaculture, while soil suitability for mangrove ranged from S3 (marginally suitable) to N (not suitable). The primary limiting factors were soil pH, organic carbon content, total phosphate and redox potential. The study area has the potential for the development of saline Nile tilapia aquaculture using the silvofishery system based on its water quality; however, improvements in soil quality are required to support optimal aquaculture production while maintaining the ecological functions of the mangrove ecosystem.
