dc.description.abstractEkosistem lamun merupakan penyerap karbon biru yang krusial dalam mitigasi perubahan iklim global karena kapasitas penyimpanannya yang tinggi pada sedimen. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengestimasi stok karbon sedimen lamun dan menganalisis perbedaannya berdasarkan zonasi pengelolaan (Zona Inti, Pemanfaatan, dan Rehabilitasi) di Kawasan Konservasi Liukang Tangaya. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pengambilan sampel melalui sediment coring hingga kedalaman 30 cm pada sembilan pulau, analisis menggunakan Loss on Ignition (LOI), serta pengujian data dengan Two-Way ANOVA. Hasil menunjukkan estimasi rata-rata stok karbon sedimen sebesar 23,48 Mg C/ha, di mana zonasi pengelolaan berpengaruh sangat nyata (p < 0,01). Zona Inti mencatat simpanan tertinggi dengan distribusi vertikal karbon yang homogen. Perbedaan stok karbon antarzonasi diduga disebabkan oleh variasi intensitas aktivitas antropogenik yang mengganggu sedimen, sementara distribusi karbon yang homogen mengindikasikan laju deposisi yang stabil serta aktivitas bioturbasi yang intensif.
dc.description.abstractSeagrass ecosystems are crucial blue carbon sinks in global climate change mitigation due to their high carbon storage capacity in sediments. This study aims to estimate seagrass sediment carbon stocks and analyze their differences based on management zoning (Core, Utilization, and Rehabilitation Zones) in the Liukang Tangaya Conservation Area. Methods included sediment coring sampling up to 30 cm depth across nine islands, analysis using the Loss on Ignition (LOI) method, and data testing using Two-Way ANOVA. Results showed an average estimated sediment carbon stock of 23,48 Mg C/ha, where management zoning had a highly significant effect (p < 0,01). The Core Zone recorded the highest storage with a homogeneous vertical carbon distribution. The differences in carbon stocks between zones are suspected to be caused by variations in the intensity of anthropogenic activities that disturb the sediment, while the homogeneous carbon distribution indicates a stable deposition rate and intensive bioturbation.
