      Studi Efektivitas dan Efisiensi Pengaplikasian Herbisida Cair Menggunakan Sprayer Elektrik Pompa Ganda

      Abstract
      Pengendalian gulma secara kimia memerlukan teknik penyemprotan yang mampu menghasilkan aplikasi herbisida yang efektif dan efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh konfigurasi pompa dan variasi sudut semprot terhadap karakteristik penyemprotan serta menentukan kombinasi perlakuan yang paling efektif dan efisien menggunakan sprayer elektrik pompa ganda. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap faktorial dengan dua faktor, yaitu konfigurasi pompa (pompa merah, pompa hijau, dan pompa merah-hijau) serta sudut semprot (30°, 45°, dan 60°). Parameter yang diamati meliputi tekanan cairan, debit penyemprotan, lebar penyemprotan efektif (LPE), tinggi penyemprotan efektif (TPE), diameter droplet (DD), kerapatan droplet (KD), efektivitas penyemprotan, kapasitas lapang efektif, kapasitas keluaran (throughput capacity, TC), dan biaya aplikasi herbisida. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis sidik ragam (ANOVA) dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) pada taraf nyata 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konfigurasi pompa dan sudut semprot berpengaruh terhadap karakteristik penyemprotan. Kombinasi perlakuan penggunaan pompa hijau (tekanan cairan 5 kg/cm2) dengan sudut semprot 60° (LPE 0,72 m, DD sebesar 100,93 µm, KD 406,24 droplet/cm2) menghasilkan aplikasi herbisida paling efektif dan efisien, yaitu efektivitas penyemprotan tertinggi sebesar 99,33%, kapasitas lapang efektif sebesar 0,08 ha/jam, kapasitas keluaran sebesar 852,78 liter/ha, serta biaya aplikasi herbisida sebesar Rp 281.417/ha.
       
      Chemical weed control requires spraying techniques capable of providing effective and efficient herbicide application. This study aimed to analyze the effects of pump configuration and spray angle variation on spraying characteristics and to determine the most effective and efficient treatment combination using a dual-pump electric sprayer. The experiment employed a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors: pump configuration (red pump, green pump, and red–green dual pump) and spray angle (30°, 45°, and 60°). The observed parameters included liquid pressure, spray discharge, effective spray width (ESW), effective spray height (ESH), droplet diameter (DD), droplet density (DDn), weed control effectiveness, effective field capacity, throughput capacity (TC), and herbicide application cost. The data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA), followed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a 5% significance level. The results showed that pump configuration and spray angle affected the spraying characteristics. The combination of the green pump (liquid pressure of 5 kg/cm²) and a 60° spray angle (ESW of 0.72 m, DD of 100.93 µm, and DDn of 406.24 droplets/cm²) produced the most effective and efficient herbicide application, achieving the highest weed control effectiveness of 99.33%, an effective field capacity of 0.08 ha/h, a throughput capacity of 852.78 L/ha, and a herbicide application cost of IDR 281,417/ha.
