| dc.description.abstract | Cabai rawit (Capsicum frutescens L.) senang naungan berpotensi dikembangkan dalam sistem tumpangsari dengan jagung manis untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan efisiensi penggunaan lahan. Namun, informasi mengenai pola tanam yang paling sesuai untuk mendukung pertumbuhan dan hasil kedua komoditas masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi pengaruh beberapa pola tanam tumpangsari terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil cabai rawit varietas Shadiva IPB serta jagung manis varietas Arinta IPB. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Kelompok Lengkap Teracak (RKLT) satu faktor dengan tujuh perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola tanam tumpangsari memodifikasi mikroklimat dan meningkatkan pertumbuhan, fruit set, hasil, serta produktivitas cabai rawit dibandingkan monokultur. Sebaliknya, pertumbuhan, hasil, dan kualitas jagung manis relatif tidak dipengaruhi oleh pola tanam yang diterapkan. Perlakuan tumpangsari pola zig-zag (P6) memberikan produktivitas cabai rawit, produktivitas jagung manis, dan nilai Nisbah Kesetaraan Lahan (NKL) tertinggi. Dengan demikian, sistem tumpangsari mampu meningkatkan hasil cabai rawit tanpa menurunkan produktivitas jagung manis, dan pola tanam zig-zag merupakan kombinasi yang paling efektif untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan efisiensi penggunaan lahan. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Chilli pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) adapted to shaded conditions has the potential to be cultivated in an intercropping system with sweet corn to improve productivity and land-use efficiency. However, information regarding the most suitable planting pattern to optimize the growth and yield of both crops is still limited. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of different intercropping planting patterns on the growth and yield of Shadiva IPB Chilli pepper and Arinta IPB sweet corn. The experiment was arranged in a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with a single factor consisting of seven treatments and three replications. The results showed that intercropping modified the microclimate and enhanced the growth, fruit set, yield, and productivity of Chilli pepper compared with monoculture. In contrast, the growth, yield, and quality of sweet corn were not significantly affected by the planting patterns. The zig-zag intercropping pattern (P6) produced the highest Chilli pepper productivity, sweet corn productivity, and Land Equivalent Ratio (LER). Therefore, the intercropping system increased Chilli pepper yield without reducing sweet corn productivity, and the zig-zag planting pattern was the most effective combination for improving productivity and land-use efficiency. | |
