Dampak Sertifikasi Halal terhadap Keuntungan Industri Mikro dan Kecil Sektor Makanan dan Minuman di Indonesia
Abstract
Although the government has mandated halal certification, the level of ownership of halal certificates at MSEs is still relatively low. This study aims to analyze the factors that affect the ownership of halal certification and its impact on the profitability of MSEs in the food and beverage sector in Indonesia. The research uses data from the Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) Survey of the Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) in 2023. The analysis was carried out by binary logistics regression to identify factors affecting halal certification ownership and Propensity Score Matching (PSM) to measure the impact of halal certification on profits. The results of the study show that gender, education, place of business, number of workforce, marketing partnerships, digital marketing, patent rights, training, and business sector have a significant effect on the ownership of halal certification. The results of PSM show that halal certification has a positive and significant impact on profits on MSEs in the food sector and on the combined analysis of the food and beverage sectors, but does not have a significant effect on the beverage sector.
