      Abstract
      Keberadaan Non-starch polysaccharides (NSP) dalam pakan berpotensi meningkatkan viskositas digesta yang memperlambat pergerakan makanan di saluran pencernaan, menurunkan efisiensi penyerapan nutrien, dan menurunkan nafsu makan. Enzim NSP merupakan enzim yang secara spesifik menargetkan polisakarida struktural penyusun dinding sel tanaman dengan menghidrolisis dinding sel tumbuhan dan memutus ikatan spesifik pada polimer NSP. Studi pustaka ini bertujuan mengkaji berbagai literatur yang mengevaluasi efektivitas enzim NSP dalam meningkatkan kecernaan pakan dan pertumbuhan pada ikan. Penambahan enzim NSP pada pakan berdampak positif terhadap kecernaan nutrien, pertumbuhan, efisiensi pakan, dan kelangsungan hidup. Dosis optimal dalam pakan bervariasi antara 0,05 hingga 7,8%, tergantung pada spesies, jenis enzim, dan komposisi pakan. Pada ikan omnivora–herbivora yang secara alami lebih adaptif terhadap serat, enzim NSP dapat meningkatkan performa pertumbuhan. Sementara pada ikan karnivora, enzim ini terutama membantu sistem pencernaan yang kurang adaptif terhadap serat, sehingga dampaknya lebih terlihat pada peningkatan kecernaan dan efisiensi pakan.
       
      Non-starch polysaccharides (NSP) in feed increase digesta viscosity, delaying gut transit, reducing nutrient absorption, and suppressing appetite. NSP enzymes hydrolyze plant cell wall polysaccharides by cleaving specific NSP bonds. This review synthesizes literature on the efficacy of NSP enzymes in improving feed digestibility and growth in fish. Dietary NSP enzymes positively affect nutrient digestibility, growth, feed efficiency, and survival rate. Optimal supplementation ranges from 0,05 to 7,8%, depending on species, enzyme type, and feed composition. In omnivorous-herbivorous fish, which are naturally fiber-adapted, NSP enzymes enhance growth performance. In carnivorous fish, which are less fiber-adapted, these enzymes primarily improve digestibility and feed efficiency.
