      Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of modified calcium particle size and vitamin D3 combination on the hematological profile and blood metabolites of pregnant Boerja goats. A total of nine pregnant Boerja does with an average body weight of 44.61 ± 8.77 kg. The treatments consisted of P0 (Micro-Ca), P1 (Micro-Ca + 0.05% vitamin D3), and P2 (Nano-Ca). Hematological profile, leukocyte differential count, and blood metabolites were analyzed using Repeated Measures ANOVA followed by Duncan's test. Supplementation had no significant effect (P>0.05) on all variables, whereas gestation stage significantly affected (P<0.05) monocyte, basophil, neutrophil, erythrocyte, lymphocyte, glucose, and cholesterol. In conclusion, calcium particle size and vitamin D3 supplementation did not affect the hematological profile or blood metabolites, whereas gestation stage was the main factor influencing these variables.
