Kinerja Pertumbuhan Ikan Bawal (Colossoma macropomum) yang Diberi Pakan dengan Penambahan Akar Manis (Glycyrrhiza glabra).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan dosis terbaik penambahan tepung akar manis (Glycyrrhiza glabra) pada pakan terhadap kinerja pertumbuhan ikan bawal air tawar (Colossoma macropomum). Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap yang terdiri atas empat perlakuan (kontrol; AM 0,5%; AM 1%; dan AM 1,5%) dengan empat ulangan. Pakan uji dibuat melalui metode repelleting pada pakan komersial yang ditambahkan tepung akar manis. Bobot rata-rata benih ikan 6,75 g ditebar dengan kepadatan 10 ekor per kontainer berukuran 60x40x35 cm selama 60 hari. Pemberian pakan dua kali sehari pada pukul 07.00 dan 17.00. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penambahan akar manis pada pakan dengan dosis 0,5% dapat meningkatkan nilai Protein Efficiency Ratio, Specific Growth Rate serta menurunkan nilai Feed Conversion Ratio.

This study aimed to determine the optimal dosage of licorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra) powder supplementation in the diet for the growth performance of freshwater pomfret (Colossoma macropomum). A completely randomized design was employed, consisting of four treatments (control; 0.5% licorice; 1% licorice; and 1.5% licorice) with four replicates each. Test diets were prepared by incorporating licorice root powder into commercial feed using a re-pelleting method. Fish juveniles with an average weight of 6.75 g were stocked at a density of 10 fish per container (60x40x35 cm) for a period of 60 days. Feeding was conducted twice daily, at 07:00 and 17:00. The results indicated that supplementing the diet with 0.5% licorice root powder improved the Protein Efficiency Ratio and Specific Growth Rate while reducing the Feed Conversion Ratio.
