      Abstract
      Mikroalga Thalassiosira sp. merupakan pakan alami penting dalam budidaya perikanan yang pertumbuhannya dipengaruhi oleh nitrogen (N) dan zat besi (Fe). Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi pengaruh konsentrasi dan rasio N:Fe terhadap pertumbuhan Thalassiosira sp. menggunakan media kultur kantong plastik pada skala laboratorium yang dikultur selama dua hari. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) faktorial dengan satu kontrol dan empat perlakuan dengan masing-masing empat ulangan, meliputi KF (kontrol media standar yang digunakan di hatchery) NF25-1x (Rasio 1:25+Konsentrasi 1x), NF50-1x (Rasio 1:50+Konsentrasi 1x), NF25-2x (Rasio 1:25+Konsentrasi 2x), NF50-2x (Rasio 1:50+Konsentrasi 2x). Hasil terbaik terlihat pada perlakuan dengan konsentrasi dan rasio N dan Fe yang lebih tinggi pada perlakuan NF25-2x dengan kepadatan sel 30,05±1,03×104 sel mL-1 dan laju pertumbuhan spesifik (LPS) 72,56±3,45% hari-1 yang berbeda nyata (P<0,05) dengan perlakuan lainnya, sedangkan ukuran sel 3.858 µm³ tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05) dengan perlakuan lainnya, serta kualitas sel dalam keadaan baik dan tidak ditemukannya kontaminan.
       
      Thalassiosira sp. is an important natural feed in aquaculture, and its growth is influenced by nitrogen (N) and iron (Fe). This study aimed to evaluate the effects of N and Fe concentrations and N:Fe ratios on the growth of Thalassiosira sp. cultured in plastic bag culture media under laboratory-scale conditions for two days. The study employed a factorial completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of one control and four treatments with four replicates each, namely KF (standard hatchery medium as the control), NF25-1x (1:25 ratio+1x concentration), NF50-1x (1:50 ratio+1x concentration), NF25-2x (1:25 ratio+2x concentration), and NF50- 2x (1:50 ratio+2x concentration). The best results were observed in the treatment with higher N and Fe concentrations and ratios, namely NF25-2x, with a cell density of 30,05±1,03×104 cells mL?¹ and a specific growth rate (SGR) of 72,56±3,45% day?¹, which was significantly different (P<0,05) from the other treatments. Meanwhile, the cell volume 3.858 µm³ was not significantly different (P>0,05) from the other treatments, and the cell quality remained good with no contamination detected.
