      Abstract

Channeling collaboration between Islamic Rural Banks (BPRS) and Islamic P2P fintech companies has emerged as a strategy to expand financing and promote financial inclusion, yet its impact on BPRS operational efficiency remains underexplored. This study analyzed the efficiency level of BPRS engaged in channeling collaboration with Islamic P2P fintech and identified its influencing factors using Two-Stage Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Tobit regression on quarterly data from five BPRS over 2016–2025. DEA results showed an average efficiency score of 0.91 with non-uniform patterns across institutions. Tobit regression revealed that the channeling collaboration dummy variable had a significant negative effect, suggesting a post-adoption adjustment phase. ROA, CAR, BOPO, and GDP growth had significant positive effects, while FDR, NPF, and inflation showed no significant effects. BPRS should strengthen capital adequacy and profitability and ensure well-prepared operational transitions before adopting channeling collaboration.
