Produksi Biogas Limbah Tikus Putih dengan Limbah Sayur Kubis dari Pasar pada Taraf Berbeda
Abstract
Limbah tikus putih dan limbah sayur kubis memiliki kandungan bahan organik yang berpotensi digunakan sebagai substrat biogas. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh kombinasi limbah sayur kubis pada taraf berbeda terhadap produksi biogas limbah tikus putih. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Desember 2025– Januari 2026 di Kandang C Unit Sahara Terintegrasi, Laboratorium Lapang Fakultas Peternakan, IPB University. Metode penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan lima perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri atas P0 (kontrol), P1 (0,625 kg kubis), P2 (1,25 kg), P3 (1,875 kg), dan P4 (2,5 kg). Parameter yang diamati meliputi temperatur substrat, temperatur gas, kelembapan gas, volume biogas, pH, warna api, dan lama nyala api. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi limbah kubis berpengaruh terhadap produksi biogas. Perlakuan P1 menghasilkan kualitas terbaik dengan volume biogas tertinggi 30,67 mL, lama nyala api 17 detik, dan warna api biru yang menunjukkan kandungan metana lebih baik. Pada penelitian ini didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa kombinasi limbah kubis sebanyak 0,625 kg memberikan kualitas biogas paling optimal. White rat waste and cabbage waste contain organic materials that have the potential to be used as biogas substrates. This study aims to analyze the effect of the combination of cabbage waste at different levels on the production of white rat waste biogas. The study was conducted from December 2025–January 2026 in Cage C of the Integrated Sahara Unit, Field Laboratory of the Faculty of Animal Science, IPB University. The research method used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five treatments and three replications. The treatments consisted of P0 (control), P1 (0.625 kg of cabbage), P2 (1.25 kg), P3 (1.875 kg), and P4 (2.5 kg). The parameters observed included substrate temperature, gas temperature, gas humidity, biogas volume, pH, flame color, and flame duration. The study showed that the combination of cabbage waste affected biogas production. Treatment P1 produced the best quality with the highest biogas volume of 30.67 mL, a flame duration of 17 seconds, and a blue flame color indicating better methane content. In this study, it was concluded that the combination of 0.625 kg of cabbage waste provided the most optimal biogas quality.
