      Biokonversi Limbah Pangan Menjadi Protein Pakan Hewan Uji Biomedis: Kasus Kelinci New Zealand (Oryctolagus cuniculus)

      Abstract
      Limbah pangan menjadi penyumbang utama sampah organik yang belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi pemanfaatan larva Black Soldier Fly (BSF) untuk mengonversi limbah pangan menjadi sumber protein alternatif pakan kelinci New Zealand (Oryctolagus cuniculus). Penelitian meliputi biokonversi limbah pangan, formulasi pakan dengan substitusi tepung BSF 20%, analisis mutu pakan, dan uji pertumbuhan kelinci selama 31 hari. Biokonversi menghasilkan tingkat reduksi sampah (D) 57,92%, Waste Reduction Index (WRI) 3,86 %/hari, dan Fresh Matter Consumption Rate (FMCR) 13,92 mg/larva/hari. Pakan yang dihasilkan memenuhi empat dari lima parameter mutu SNI 8509:2018. Pakan substitusi tepung BSF menghasilkan Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR) 5,3, Specific Growth Rate (SGR) 1%, dan Survival Rate (SR) 80%, lebih baik dibandingkan pakan komersil kecuali pada SR. Larva BSF berpotensi mengurangi limbah pangan sekaligus menyediakan sumber protein alternatif untuk pakan kelinci new zealand.
