      Abstract

Global demand for pulp has continued to increase in recent years along with the development of fiber-based industries. Indonesia, as one of the main pulp exporters, plays an important role in this trade. However, Indonesia’s pulp exports still face challenges due to increasing competition from other producing countries as well as dependence on several main export destination markets. This study aims to analyze the competitiveness and potential development of Indonesian pulp exports compared to competing countries in three export destination markets xport destination markets, namely China, India, and South Korea. The methods used include Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), Export Product Dynamics (EPD), and the X-Model. The results show that Indonesian pulp has strong competitiveness in the three export destination markets, indicated by RCA values greater than one. with the most favorable trade position is found in India (Rising Star). Furthermore, the X-Model analysis shows that India is the most prospective market for export development. Based on these findings, Indonesia needs to improve its export competitiveness by utilizing its existing potential.
