      Abstract
      Pendidikan tinggi tidak selalu mampu mengubah pengetahuan mahasiswa menjadi perilaku berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis perubahan perilaku berkelanjutan mahasiswa sebelum dan sesudah mengikuti Mata Kuliah Ekologi Manusia, mengidentifikasi komponen partisipasi yang paling berpengaruh, serta menganalisis konsistensi perilaku. Penelitian melibatkan 80 mahasiswa Departemen SKPM IPB dengan desain sekuensial eksplanatori menggunakan uji Wilcoxon dan PLS-SEM, dilanjutkan wawancara mendalam. Hasil menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan signifikan pada seluruh dimensi perilaku berkelanjutan sebelum dan sesudah perkuliahan, dengan peningkatan terbesar pada dimensi konsumsi barang dan terkecil pada transportasi. Kualitas keterlibatan formal tidak terbukti sebagai komponen partisipasi paling berpengaruh, durasi belajar mandiri dan diskusi informal lebih dominan dalam membentuk konstruk partisipasi. Partisipasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap seluruh komponen TPB, dengan niat berperilaku sebagai prediktor langsung perilaku berkelanjutan. Mayoritas mahasiswa menunjukkan konsistensi perilaku yang tinggi. Temuan ini mengimplikasikan bahwa efektivitas pendidikan ekologi tidak ditentukan semata oleh aktivitas formal di kelas, melainkan oleh sejauh mana proses pembelajaran berlanjut dan diolah secara personal di luar perkuliahan.
       
      Higher education does not always transform students’ knowledge into sustainable behaviour. This study aims to analyse changes in students’ sustainable behaviour before and after taking the Human Ecology course, identify the most influential participation components, and examine behavioural consistency. The study involved 80 SKPM IPB students using a sequential explanatory design with the Wilcoxon test and PLS-SEM, followed by in-depth interviews. The results show significant differences across all dimensions of sustainable behaviour, with the largest increase in consumption and the smallest in transportation. Formal engagement was not the most influential component, independent study and informal discussions were more dominant. Participation significantly influenced all TPB components, with intention as the direct predictor of behaviour. Most students showed high behavioural consistency. These findings imply that the effectiveness of ecological education depends not only on formal classroom activities, but also on how learning is continued and internalised outside the classroom.
