      Pengaruh Paclobutrazol terhadap Induksi Pembungaan Anggrek Hitam (Coelogyne pandurata Lindl.)

      Abstract
      Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi pengaruh paclobutrazol terhadap pertumbuhan vegetatif dan induksi pembungaan Anggrek Hitam (Coelogyne pandurata Lindl.), spesies endemik Kalimantan yang memiliki periode berbunga singkat dan sulit berbunga di luar musim. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Rumah Anggrek Leuwikopo IPB menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan enam taraf konsentrasi paclobutrazol (0, 50, 100, 200, 300, 400 ppm) dan tiga ulangan, masing-masing terdiri dari enam tanaman. Parameter yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, panjang daun, diameter pseudobulb, jumlah anakan, persentase pembungaan, waktu muncul bunga, jumlah kuntum, dan panjang malai bunga. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa paclobutrazol belum mampu menginduksi pembungaan secara signifikan, di mana pembungaan hanya terjadi pada kelompok tanaman berukuran tinggi (K3) dengan persentase yang sama antara kontrol dan perlakuan. Walaupun demikian, terdapat indikasi respons positif pada konsentrasi 100–200 ppm, seperti warna daun lebih hijau yang mengarah pada peningkatan aktivitas fotosintesis. Diperlukan penelitian lanjutan dengan konsentrasi lebih rendah (<100 ppm), kombinasi zat pemecah dormansi, dan pengendalian lingkungan yang lebih ketat untuk mengoptimalkan induksi pembungaan Anggrek Hitam.
       
      This study aimed to evaluate the effect of paclobutrazol on vegetative growth and flowering induction of the Black Orchid (Coelogyne pandurata Lindl.), an endemic species of Kalimantan characterized by a short flowering period and difficulty flowering outside its natural season. The experiment was conducted at the Leuwikopo Orchid House, IPB University, using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with six paclobutrazol concentrations (0, 50, 100, 200, 300, and 400 ppm) and three replications, each consisting of six plants. Observed parameters included plant height, leaf length, pseudobulb diameter, number of shoots, flowering percentage, time to flowering, number of florets, and inflorescence length. The results showed that paclobutrazol did not significantly induce flowering, as flowering only occurred in tall-sized plants (K3) with similar percentages between control and treated groups. However, there were indications of a positive response at 100–200 ppm, such as greener leaves, suggesting enhanced photosynthetic activity. Further research with lower concentrations (<100 ppm), in combination with dormancy-breaking agents, and under stricter environmental control is recommended to optimize flowering induction in the Black Orchid.
