The great potential of acidic soil in Indonesia. Efforts to utilize acidic soil can be done through the development of lamtoro tarramba that is tolerant to acidic soil stress. This study aims to obtain information on seed viability, survival rate, and evaluate the morphological characteristics of M2 generation lamtoro tarramba mutant candidates tolerant to acidic soil stress on acidic soil with a pH of 4.0 by examining the morphological characteristic concentration index to obtain mutant candidates with superior quality. The study was conducted over 84 days at the Agrostology Field Laboratory in Bogor, using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 6 treatments, M2-generation lamtoro tarramba mutant candidates identified as GLM.0, GLM.1, GLM.8, GLM.9, and GLM.10, each with 100 replicates, and a control group with 20 replicates. The parameters observed included seed viability, survival rate, morphological characteristics, and morphological characteristic concentration index. The results showed that the M2 generation lamtoro tarramba mutant candidates tolerant to acidic soil stress with superior morphological characteristics, as indicated by the identities GLM.1, GLM.8, and GLM.10, were the best candidates. The conclusion of this study is that the M2 generation lamtoro tarramba mutant candidates tolerant to acidic soil stress on acidic soil with a pH of 4.0, treated with GLM.1, GLM.8, and GLM.10, showed superior morphological characteristic concentration indices compared to other treatments.
