      Abstract
      Petani memiliki peran ganda dalam usahatani padi, yaitu sebagai produsen dan konsumen. Sebagai konsumen, petani menggunakan hasil panen untuk kebutuhan pangan, sementara sebagai produsen, petani mengelola dan memasarkan hasil pertanian secara mandiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perilaku petani dan marketable surplus beras di Kabupaten Lamongan, serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhinya. Metode yang digunkan meliputi analisis deskriptif, analisis marketable surplus, dan uji heckman two steps model. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas hasil produksi petani dialokasikan untuk penjualan sebesar 74,43% sementara 22,99% digunakan untuk konsumsi rumah tangga, dan sisanya 1,98% untuk kegiatan sosial. Nilai marketable surplu sebesar 75,03% menunjukkan bahwa petani di wilayah tersebut tergolong petani komersial. Faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap marketable surplus meliputi tingkat pendidikan, luas lahan, keanggotaan kelompok tani, dan jenis pengairan.
       
      Farmers play a dual role in rice farming, acting as both producers and consumers. As consumers, farmers use part of their harvest for household food needs, while as producers, they manage and market their agricultural products independently. This study aims to analyze farmers' behavior and the marketable surplus of rice in Lamongan Regency, as well as to identify the factors that influence it. The methods used include descriptive analysis, marketable surplus analysis, and the Heckman two-step model test. The results indicate that the majority of the farmers' production is allocated for sale (74.43%), while 22.99% is used for household consumption, and the remaining 1.98% is for social activities. The marketable surplus value of 75.03% indicates that farmers in the region are categorized as commercial farmers. Factors that significantly influence marketable surplus include education level, land area, farmer group membership, and type of irrigation.
