dc.description.abstractPemberian lemak sebagai pakan ternak dilakukan untuk meningkatkan energi ternak dengan heat increment yang rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi pemberian wafer suplemen pakan yang mengandung prill fat dengan jumlah pemberian yang berbeda terhadap performa domba Garut. Penelitian ini menggunakan 16 ekor domba Garut jantan dengan rataan bobot badan 33,50 ± 10,97 kg di peternakan Sejahtera Tani Farm Cinangka. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dengan 4 kelompok, perlakuan terdiri dari P0: rumput + konsentrat (pakan kontrol), P1: P0 +200 g wafer suplemen, P2: P0 + 300 g wafer suplemen, P3: P0 + 400 g wafer suplemen. Peubah yang diamati uji fisiologis, Pertambahan Bobot Badan Harian (PBBH), efisiensi pakan, Income Over Feed Cost (IOFC). Data dianalisis menggunakan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), apabila perlakuan berbeda nyata dilakukan uji lanjut Duncan. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pemberian wafer suplemen pakan mengandung prill fat dengan pemberian 300 g (P2) dapat meningkatkan PBBH sebesar 189,86 g/ekor/ hari dengan efisiensi pakan 23,12% dan meningkatkan IOFC sebesar 52,97% dibandingkan perlakuan kontrol.
dc.description.abstractThe addition of fat as animal feed is done to increase livestock energy with low heat increment. This study aims to evaluate the administration of feed supplement wafers containing prill fat with different amounts of administration on the performance of Garut sheep. This research used 16 male Garut sheep with an average body weight of 33.50 ± 10.97 kg at the Sejahtera Tani Farm Cinangka farm. This research used a Randomized Block Design (RAK) consisting of 4 treatments with 4 groups, treatments consisting of P0: grass + concentrate (control feed), P1: P0 + 200 g supplement wafers, P2: P0 + 300 g supplement wafers, P3: P0 + 400 g supplement wafers. The variables observed were physiological tests, Daily Body Weight Gain (PBBH), feed efficiency, Income Over Feed Cost (IOFC). Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), if the treatments were significantly different, Duncan's further test was carried out. The conclusion of this research is that giving 300 g (P2) of wafer feed supplements containing prill fat can increase PBBH by 189.86 g head-1 day-1 with feed efficiency of 23.12% and increase IOFC by 52.97% compared to the control treatment.
