      Abstract

Intensive cultivation of tilapia can cause disease in tilapia. Efforts that can be made to treat Aeromonas hydrophila bacterial infections are by using phytopharmaceuticals such as onion skins and banana stems. The contents of shallot skin such as alkaloids, saponins and tannins can act as antibacterials. The contents of banana stems such as saponins, flavonoids and ascorbic acid act as antibacterials and immunostimulants. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using banana stem simplicia and shallot skin to treat A. hydrophila bacterial infections in tilapia through feed. The treatments carried out were positive control (K+), negative control (K-), shallot skin (KBM) and banana fronds (PLP). The challenge test was carried out with a bacterial density of 106 CFU mL-1 and 3g/100g of feed was given according to the treatment. feed for KBM and PLP treatment for 14 days of maintenance. KBM and PLP treatment showed better results compared to K+ in the parameters of survival rate, total erythrocytes, total leukocytes, hemoglobin levels, hematocrit levels and phagocytic activity. PLP treatment with a dose of 3g/100g of feed resulted in a higher survival rate of 80% compared to KBM of 73.33%.
