Analisis Faktor-Faktor yang Memengaruhi Minat Siswa SMA Kabupaten Bogor Memilih Jurusan Ekonomi Syariah

Abstract

Ekonomi syariah telah berkembang di berbagai negara, termasuk Indonesia. Perkembangan ekonomi syariah di Indonesia tidak didukung dengan sumber daya manusia ekonomi syariah yang yang memenuhi secara kuantitas dan kualitas. Kabupaten Bogor memiliki potensi menjadi calon sumber daya manusia di bidang ekonomi dan keuangan syariah karena memiliki jumlah penduduk muslim dan siswa terbanyak di Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik siswa SMA di Kabupaten Bogor yang berminat memilih jurusan ekonomi syariah dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhinya. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan Partial Least Square (PLS). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan responden yang berminat memilih jurusan ekonomi syariah didominasi oleh siswa Madrasah Aliyah (MA), jurusan IPA, peringkat 3 besar di kelas, dan perwakilan sekolah dalam perlombaan/olimpiade. Responden juga memiliki minat mendaftar melalui keseluruhan jalur, yaitu seleksi berbasis rapor, tes, dan seleksi mandiri dari pihak kampus. Selain itu, faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi minat siswa memilih jurusan ekonomi syariah adalah faktor pekerjaan yang diharapkan, lingkungan sekolah, self efficacy, dan status sosial ekonomi orang tua. Islamic economics has developed in various countries, including Indonesia. The development of Islamic economics in Indonesia is not supported by Islamic economic human resources that meet the quantity and quality. Bogor Regency has the potential to become a candidate for human resources in the field of Islamic economics and finance because it has the largest Muslim population and students in West Java. This study aims to analyse the characteristics of high school students in Bogor Regency who are interested in choosing Islamic economics majors and analyse the factors that influence them. The data analysis method used is descriptive analysis and Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of this study indicate that respondents who are interested in choosing Islamic economics majors are dominated by Madrasah Aliyah (MA) students, majoring in science, ranking in the top 3 in class, and school representatives in competitions/olympics. Respondents also have an interest in registering through all channels, namely report card-based selection, tests, and independent selection from the campus. In addition, the factors that influence students' interest in choosing Islamic economics major are expected job factors, school environment, self-efficacy, and parents' socioeconomic status.
