      Induksi Hormonal Pematangan Gonad Kepiting Bakau Betina (Scylla serrata) dengan Kombinasi Oodev dan Melatonin

      Abstract
      Kepiting bakau (Scylla serrata) merupakan komoditas dengan nilai ekonomis tinggi. Pembenihan kepiting bakau dinilai masih kurang diakibatkan penangkapan induk matang gonad dan benih di alam yang tidak terkendali. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kinerja hormon Oodev yang dikombinasikan dengan melatonin terhadap pematangan gonad induk kepiting bakau betina. Penelitian terdiri atas 3 perlakuan dosis 0,5 mg/kg dan 1,0 mg/kg bobot tubuh dengan pengulangan sebanyak 5 kali. Kombinasi hormon diberikan dengan penyuntikan pada pangkal xoca. Pemeliharaan dilakukan dalam kotak kepiting tertutup dengan sistem Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS). Padat tebar dari tiap kotak kepiting adalah 1 ekor. Induk kepiting bakau dipelihara selama 35 hari, diberi pakan ikan rucah secara ad libitum. Parameter yang diamati adalah pertambahan bobot mutlak, indeks gonadosomatik, indeks hepatosomatik, gambaran makroskopis gonad, gambaran mikroskopis gonad, dan diameter telur. Dosis melatonin 0,5 mg/kg induk memberikan hasil terbaik dengan nilai IGS 4,23% dengan waktu pemeliharaan selama 4 minggu.
       
      The high-value commodity, mud crab (Scylla serrata), faces breeding limitations due to challenges in capturing mature gonads and wild seed crabs. This study examines the efficacy of Oodev hormones combined with melatonin in inducing gonad maturation in female mud crabs. Three treatments of hormonal induction with Oodev and melatonin at 0.5 mg/kg and 1.0 mg/kg doses are conducted. Each treatment is replicated five times, administered through injection at the base of the third leg. Crabs are housed using covered crab boxes with RAS systems, one crab per box. Over a 35-day period, broodstock is fed ad libitum live fish while observing parameters such as weight gain, gonadosomatic index, hepatosomatic index, gonad appearance (macroscopic and microscopic), and egg diameter. The combination of Oodev hormone and 0.5 mg/kg melatonin yields the best results, with a 4.23% GSI value over a 4-week maintenance period.
