dc.description.abstractMadu randu merupakan salah satu produk alami yang berpotensi meningkatkan status kesehatan dan kinerja pertumbuhan ikan karena memiliki kandungan senyawa kompleks seperti prebiotik FOS, GOS dan inulin, serta memiliki sifat antibakterial, antiviral dan antioksidan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji efektivitas pemberian madu randu dengan dosis berbeda melalui pakan terhadap status kesehatan dan kinerja pertumbuhan benih ikan nila kekar yang dipelihara menggunakan hapa di kolam. Penelitian menggunakan empat perlakuan yaitu kontrol (tanpa penambahan madu randu), dan penambahan madu randu dengan dosis 1%, 1,5% dan 2%, dengan masing-masing tiga ulangan. Sebanyak 200 ekor benih ikan nila kekar dengan panjang rata-rata (2,72 ± 0.17) cm dan bobot rata-rata (0,18 ± 0.03) g ditebar dalam setiap hapa berukuran (2 x 1 x 1) m3 yang disusun pada kolam berukuran (10 x 20 x 1.5) m3 dan dipelihara selama 42 hari. Parameter yang diamati meliputi total eritrosit, hemoglobin, hematokrit, total leukosit, aktivitas fagositik, respiratory burst, total kelimpahan bakteri di usus, pertumbuhan panjang mutlak, pertumbuhan bobot mutlak, laju pertumbuhan spesifik, jumlah konsumsi pakan, feed conversion ratio, dan survival rate. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan madu randu meningkatkan status kesehatan dan kinerja pertumbuhan benih ikan nila kekar dengan dosis terbaik 2%.id
dc.description.abstractRandu honey is one of the natural product that has the potential to improve the health status and growth performance of fish because it contains complex compounds, prebiotics such as FOS, GOS dan inulin and antimicrobial, antiviral and antioxidant properties. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of randu honey with different doses through feed on health and growth performance of kekar tilapia fry. The study used four diet treatments namely, control (without randu honey), and the addition of randu honey at doses of 1%, 1.5% and 2%, with three repetitions each. Total of 200 kekar tilapia fry with average length (2,72 ± 0.17) cm and Average weights (0.18 ± 0.03) g were stocked in each hapa measuring (2 x 1 x 1) m3, arranged in a pond measuring (10 x 20 x 1.5) m3 and maintained for 42 days. Parameters observed during the study included, total erythrocytes, hemoglobin, hematocrit, total leukocytes, phagotyc activity, respiratory burst, abundance of bacteria in intestines of Nile tilapia, long growth, weight growth, specific growth rate, feed consumption, feed conversion ratio, and survival rate. The results show that randu honey increased the health status and growth performance with the best dose at the 2% randu honey treatment.id
