Hubungan Antara Motivasi Kerja Dengan Prestasi Kerja Karyawan
Abstract
Jurnal Bogor is daily local newspaper in Bogor with approximately 10.00 exemplars and 20 percent returned sold. The distribution area is Bogor district. Research purpose was to analyse empolyed work motivation, performance and respondent characteristics. Sampling method was purposive sampling among the staff employed. The age, gender and education level were related to work motivation. Employee characteristics were related to empolyee performance. Employee work motivation was completely related empolyee performance. The highest work motivation results was 145 and the lowest was 57. The highest performance results was 138 dan the lowest was 87. Work motivation was tested by χ 2 (chisquare). χ 2 for age was 94,447; χ 2 for gender was 1026,52; and χ 2 for education level was 33,64. Hence, the values showed that age, gender, and education level related to work motivation (χ 2 count > χ 2 table). χ 2 for marriage status was 2,973 and it means marriage status has no relation with work motivation (χ 2 count < χ 2 table). Employee performance was tested by χ 2 (chi-square). χ 2 for age was 105,21; χ 2 for gender was 981,70; χ 2 for education level was 35,62; and χ 2 for marriage status 4,923. Hence, the values showed that all employee characteristics has relation with employee performance (χ 2 count > χ 2 table). The correlation values (rs) between work motivation and performance was 0,456. Correlation is significant at the 0,01 level. Hence, the Jurnal Bogor employee work motivation has quite close relation with the Jurnal Bogor employee performance
