dc.description.abstractFluency of movement of substance at machine of pellet represent main problem in production process activity. The objective of the study was carried out to measure effectively of material handling of finisher broiler ratio in a form of pellets. This research was to know how far efeciency of movement of substance in continuous production system of pellet broiler finisher was evaluated from time of production process (minute), floating rate (m/sec ), particle size (mm) and specific weight (ton/m3). This Research was conducted during three months start from February to April 2005 at Laboratory of Feed Industry, Nutrition and Feed Technology Science Department, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Bogor Agricultural University. The method used in this research was experimental method with Complete Randomized Design by 3 treatment s and 3 replicates. The treatments were R 1: ration with 0% Corn Gluten Meal(CGM) + 8% fish meal, R 2 : ration with 4% CGM + 4% fish meal, R 3 : ration with 8% CGM + 0 % fish meal. The data obtained were analyzed by using ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) and if I’ts different each other will be continued by using contrast orthogonal. The observed variables were time of production process (minute), floating rate (m/sec) , particle size (mm) and specific weight (ton/m3). In this research, CGM enhanced until level 8% replacing fish meal. The result showed that treatment have significanly different ( P<0.01) to time of production process (31.00 – 26.33 minute ), size measure of particle (6. 66 – 5.60 mm) and specific weight (1.36 – 1.11 ton/m3). And floating rate shown of result which not significanly different ( P>0. 05).id
