Model Produksi Biohidrogen Melalui Fermentasi Gelap Dengan Bahan Baku Palm Oil Mill Effluent
Abstract
Biohydrogen is an alternative fuel source that has high potential compared
to other fuels because it has a high heat value (120 kJ/g) and its combustion does
not produce pollutants. Biohydrogen can be produced through dark fermentation
methods with high production rates and lower costs. To determine the level of
biohydrogen production, a mathematical model for biohydrogen production
through dark fermentation was developed by modifying the existing biohydrogen
production model of photofermentation methods. The model was modified by
introducing correction factors for several parameters in the photofermentation
biohydrogen production model. The modified model is then simulated with the
input parameters according to the experimental data. The simulation results in this
study indicate that the correlation value (R2
) between the concentration of the
simulated product and the experimental results is 0.9778. From the trendline
equation, it can be seen that the experimental H2 concentration value is 0.9941 times
the simulated H2 concentration
