Kontribusi Sektor Perikanan Tangkap dan Wisata Bahari terhadap Pendapatan Nelayan Pantai Glagah Yogyakarta
Abstract
The existence of Karangwuni Fish Auction (TPI) is expected to be able to
accommodate the catches of fishers as long as the Tanjung Adikarto port has not
been completed. However until now, fishers still land fish at Glagah Fish Auction
(TPI) and are reluctant to move because the construction of a breakwater in
Tanjung Adikarto port has not yet been completed. These activities affect the
income of fishers. One of the management steps can be started by knowing the
information on the characteristics of fishers's perceptions and calculating the
contribution of fishers's income in Glagah Beach. This study aims to identify
fishers's perceptions, economic conditions, and the contribution of capture
fisheries and marine tourism to fishers's income. This study used the case study
method, with the unit of a case being the activities of fishers at Glagah Beach
which were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The results showed that the
respondent's assessment of the cognitive aspect was high with a total score of 142
and the affective aspect was moderate with a total score of 113. The criteria for
acceptance of fishing business were 1,66 and marine tourism was 1,83, both
including profit. The relative contribution value of capture fisheries is more
dominant, which is 98,02% while marine tourism is 1,98% of fishers's income
every year. Tourism management is not optimal and the construction of a new
airport has not yet been completed, making marine tourism unable to compete
with the contribution of capture fisheries.
