Evaluasi Penambahan Alanyl-Glutamin pada Pakan terhadap Pertumbuhan Udang Vaname Litopenaeus vannamei
Abstract
Alanyl-glutamin termasuk ke dalam glutamin dipeptida yang mengandung alanin dan glutamin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi penambahan alanyl-glutamin pada pakan terhadap pertumbuhan dan komposisi proksimat udang vaname Litopenaeus vannamei. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan empat kali ulangan pada empat perlakuan yaitu penambahan alanyl-glutamin sebanyak 0%, 1%, 2%, dan 3% pada pakan komersial dengan kadar protein 42%. Benih udang dipelihara di dalam akuarium ukuran 60 cm x 30 cm x 30 cm dengan padat tebar 15 ekor/akuarium selama 50 hari. Udang diberi pakan sebanyak 15% dari bobot tubuh yang dibagi dalam empat kali pemberian (pukul 07.00, pukul 11.00, pukul 15.00, dan pukul 19.00 WIB). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan alanyl-glutamin pada pakan dapat meningkatkan kadar protein tubuh udang, namun tidak berpengaruh terhadap kinerja pertumbuhan udang vaname. Bobot akhir, laju pertumbuhan spesifik, jumlah konsumsi pakan, rasio konversi pakan, tingkat kelangsungan hidup, dan nilai rasio efisiensi protein yang dihasilkan tidak berbeda nyata antar perlakuan (P>0,05). Alanyl-glutamine is a glutamine dipeptide containing alanine and glutamine. This study aimed to evaluate the addition of alanyl-glutamine in feed for the growth of white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with four replications in four treatments, namely the addition of alanyl-glutamine either 0%, 1%, 2%, and 3% of commercial feed containing 42% protein. Shrimp were kept in an aquarium with a size of 60 cm x 30 cm x 30 cm with a stocking density of 15 fish/aquarium for 50 days. Shrimp were fed of 15% of body weight divided into four feedings (at 07.00, 11.00, 15.00, and 19.00 WIB). The results showed that the addition of alanyl-glutamine in the feed would increase the protein content of the shrimp’s body, but did not affect the growth of the white shrimp. Final weight, specific growth rate, total feed consumption, feed conversion ratio, survival rate, and the resulting protein efficiency ratio did not significantly different among treatments (P>0.05).
