      Abstract

The contribution of the agricultural sector to Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) shows the second highest percentage. However, the non-performing financing (NPF) ratio of the agricultural sector in Islamic banking during 2015 to 2020 shows a high level of NPF ratio, as well as a significant increase in NPF. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that influence the NPF of the agricultural sector in Islamic banking in Indonesia. The factors studied include external factors and internal factors. The method used is the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) with monthly data from January 2015 to December 2020. Based on the results of the VECM analysis, it shows that in the long term agricultural GDP has a significant negative effect on the NPF of the agricultural sector, while agricultural financing and Productive Asset Quality (KAP) significant positive effect on the NPF of the agricultural sector. Impulse response function analysis shows that inflation, exchange rate, agricultural financing, and KAP shocks are responded positively by the NPF of the agricultural sector. Meanwhile, the agricultural GDP shocks responded negatively by the NPF of the agricultural sector.
