      Abstract

Utilization of the Cihideung River as an irrigation supply in the dry season prevents drought. Hydraullic ramp were cheap and easy alternative to distribute water. Research’s objectives are to determine the value of water availability and utilization of the Cihideung River for the Leuwikopo experimental garden, determine the water demand on the land, and produce a water reservoir design on the land. The value of the need and availability of water in the land are highly dependent on evapotranspiration and rainfall. Standard evapotranspiration in field ranges from 3,2 to 4.5 mm/day. Sugarcane is the selected plant. Sugarcane evapotranspiration ranged from 1,91 to 4,45 mm/day with a maximum plant requirement of 137,95 mm/month. Rainfall in Bogor Regency is relatively high, ranging from 3000-4500 mm/year. The average demand during the dry season reaches 1,35 mm/day, which is made into a reference volume for a holding tank of 4.860 liters. The water requirement that needs to be supplied is 0,21 l/second for an area of 0,36 ha. The dimensions of the 2,5 m x 1,5 m x 1,5 m reservoir are made of fiberglass, filled with a hydraulic ram pump with a discharge of 0,248 l/second for 5 hours 25 minutes.
