dc.description.abstract | Minyak ikan lemuru merupakan salah satu sumber energi dan sumber
asam lemak tak jenuh omega-3 yang dapat digunakan sebagai pakan unggas.
Asam lemak tak jenuh mudah teroksidasi, sehingga asam lemak tak jenuh perlu
dilindungi. Vitamin E dan selenium merupakan komponen antioksidan yang dapat
melindungi asam lemak dari oksidasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi
pemberian minyak ikan lemuru, vitamin E dan selenium yang paling efektif dalam
menghasilkan produksi daging broiler fungsional.
Ternak yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah ayam broiler sebanyak
180 ekor dengan rasio jantan dan betina yang sama. Ternak tersebut
didistribusikan ke dalam 6 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan, setiap ulangannya terdiri atas
10 ekor ayam broiler. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah
rancangan acak lengkap faktorial 2 x 3. Faktor pertama merupakan penggunaan
dua taraf vitamin E (0 ppm dan 200 ppm), dan faktor kedua adalah penggunaan
tiga taraf selenium (0 ppm, 0.3 ppm dan 0.6 ppm). Perlakuan yang digunakan
dalam penelitian ini adalah V1M1: Vit E 0 ppm + Se 0 ppm (kontrol); V1M2: Vit
E 0 ppm + Se 0.3 ppm; V1M3: Vit E 0 ppm + Se 0.6 ppm; V2M1: Vit E 200 ppm
+ Se 0 ppm; V2M2: Vit E 200 ppm + Se 0.3 ppm; V2M3: Vit E 200 ppm + Se 0.6
ppm.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suplementasi vitamin E 200 ppm
secara nyata dapat menurunkan konsumsi dan pertambahan bobot ayam broiler,
namun dapat meningkatkan efisiensi pakan ayam broiler. Suplementasi vitamin E
dan Se tidak memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap metabolit darah ayam
broiler. Suplementasi vitamin E 200 ppm secara nyata dapat meningkatkan
kandungan hemoglobin serta dapat menurunkan rasio heterofil limfosit darah pada
ayam broiler. Suplementasi vitamin E 200 ppm yang dikombinasikan dengan 0.3
Se dapat meningkatkan kandungan omega-3 daging, meningkatkan kandungan
vitamin E dan Se pada daging ayam broiler. Suplementasi vitamin E 200 ppm
secara nyata dapat menurunkan kandungan MDA daging ayam broiler. Kombinasi
suplementasi vitamin E dan Se secara nyata menurunkan nilai malonialdehida hati
ayam broiler. Ginjal ayam broiler yang disuplementasi vitamin E 200 ppm atau Se
hingga dosis 0.6 ppm secara nyata meningkatkan nilai malonialdehida. Aktivitas
enzim katalase ginjal ayam broiler meningkat ketika disuplementasi Se 0.6 ppm.
Kombinasi suplementasi vitamin E 200 ppm dan 0.3 ppm Se efektif
sebagai sumber antioksidan untuk melindungi asam lemak omega-3 dalam pakan
mengandung minyak ikan lemuru dalam meningkatkan kandungan asam lemak
omega-3, vitamin E dan Se pada daging ayam broiler. | id |
dc.description.abstract | Lemuru fish oil is a source of energy and a source of omega-3 unsaturated
fatty acids which can be used as poultry feed. Unsaturated fatty acids are easily
oxidized, so unsaturated fatty acids need to be protected. Vitamin E and selenium
are components of antioxidants that protect fatty acids from oxidation. This study
aims to evaluate the administration of lemuru fish oil, vitamin E, and selenium
which is most effective in producing functional broiler meat production.
One hundred and eighty of broilers with the same male to female ratio
were used in this experiment. Bird were distributed into 6 treatments and 3
replications, each of which consisted of 10 broiler chickens. The design used in
this study was a factorial completely randomized design 2 x 3. The first factor was
two levels of vitamin E (0 ppm and 200 ppm), and the second factor was three
levels of selenium (0 ppm, 0.3 ppm, and 0.6 ppm). The treatments used in this
study were V1M1: Vit E 0 ppm + Se 0 ppm (control); V1M2: Vit E 0 ppm + Se
0.3 ppm; V1M3: Vit E 0 ppm + Se 0.6 ppm; V2M1: Vit E 200 ppm + Se 0 ppm;
V2M2: Vit E 200 ppm + Se 0.3 ppm; V2M3: Vit E 200 ppm + Se 0.6 ppm.
The results showed that 200 ppm vitamin E supplementation significantly
reduced feed intake and body weight gain of broilers, and reduced the feed
convertion ratio of broiler chicken. Vitamin E and Se supplementation had no
significant effect on blood metabolites of broiler chickens. Supplementation of
200 ppm vitamin E significantly increased hemoglobin content and reduced the
ratio of blood lymphocyte heterophile in broiler chickens. Supplementation 200
ppm vitamin E combined with 0.3 Se increased the omega-3 content of meat,
increased the content of vitamins E and Se in broiler chicken. Supplementation of
200 ppm vitamin E significantly reduced the malonaldehyde content of broiler
chicken. The combination of vitamin E and Se supplementation significantly
decreased the malonaldehyde value of broiler chicken liver. The malonaldehyde
of broiler chicken kidneys supplemented with vitamin E 200 ppm or Se up to a
dose of 0.6 ppm was significantly increased. The activity of the broiler chicken
kidney catalase enzyme was increased when supplemented with Se 0.6 ppm.
The combination of 200 ppm and 0.3 ppm Se vitamin E supplementation
effective as a source of antioxidants to protect omega-3 fatty acids in feed
containing lemuru fish oil in increasing the content of omega-3 fatty acids,
vitamin E and Se in broiler chicken meat. | id |
