      Rancang Bangun Mesin Penjatah Konsentrat Pakan Kambing Tipe Bucket Conveyor

      Abstract
      The goat farming business in Indonesia is once extra developing as a producer of meat and milk. The common issues in goat farms are not managing the distribution feed properly, so that giving the nutrition gap for etawa goat. Therefore, effective technology is needed to manage the proportional nutrition feeding concentrate according to goat’s sex and age number category to increase the meat and milk productivity, with the application of goat feeding machines type bucket conveyor. This feeding machine can accommodate and distribute the feed using a conveyor. The purpose of the study was to develop the design of distributing goat feed machines and to optimally the timing of feed distribution. This research will be carried out with a functional and structural design approach consisting of several stages, including identification of problems, formulation of design concepts, technical analysis, engineering drawings, prototyping, functional tests, and performance tests. The mechanism design was designed using the assistance of Solidworks 2018 software. The results of after testing are the design of mechanism to provide concentrates according to the age requirements of the goats that are equal to 4 kg, 7 kg, and 10 of the expected result of 4kg, 7kg, and 10 kg. To achieve the appropriate rationing, the forward speed of each food rationing machine is 0.38 m / s, 0.26 m / s, and 0.16 m / s in each goat cage.
       
      Usaha peternakan kambing di Indonesia kini berkembang sebagai penghasil daging dan susu. Pada umumnya, masalah yang terjadi pada peternakan kambing perah adalah proses penjatahan konsentrat pakan yang kurang tepat sehingga terjadi kesenjangan kecukupan gizi kambing perah. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan teknologi yang efektif dalam pemberian konsentrat dengan mengendalikan dosis pakan sesuai jenis kelamin kambing dan kategori usia kambing untuk meningkatkan produksi daging dan susu, yaitu dengan penerapan mesin penjatah pakan kambing tipe bucket conveyor. Mesin ini menampung pakan kambing dan mendistribusikannya ke wadah pakan kambing menggunakan konveyor. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan rancangan mesin penjatahan pakan kambing untuk menyediakan pakan kambing serta untuk menghemat waktu proses distribusi pakan kambing. Penelitian ini akan dilakukan dengan pendekatan desain fungsional dan struktural yang terdiri dari beberapa tahapan, antara lain: identifikasi masalah, perumusan konsep desain, analisis teknik, gambar teknik, pembuatan prototipe, uji fungsional, dan uji kinerja. Desain mekanisme penjatahan dirancang menggunakan software Solidworks 2018. Hasil yang diperoleh setelah pengujian adalah rancangan mekanisme penjatah mampu menjatahkan konsentrat sesuai kebutuhan kambing yaitu sebesar 4 kg, 7 kg, dan 10 kg. dengan kecepatan maju optimal mesin penjatah pakan secara berturut-turut adalah 0,38 m/s, 0,26 m/s, dan 0,16 m/s pada setiap kandang kambing.
