      Abstract

Minerals are one of the micronutrients needed by organism. Minerals have a function in metabolism, especially as enzyme cofactors. There are two types of minerals, namely macrominerals and microminerals. This study aims to evaluate micromineral-based feed additive supplementation on the growth and health of vaname shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei. This study used three treatments, namely control, FA1, and FA2. Shrimp used are shrimp weighing 5.95 ± 0.04 g reared in a fiber tub with a diameter of 150 cm and water level of 70 cm. Each tub was stocked with 150 shrimp and kept for 70 days. Shrimp are fed with an ad restricted method/ determined feeding rate. Results of this study indicated that the addition of FA1 could increase the SGR value on the 14th and 28th days, but not on the 42nd day until the end of the maintenance period. ADG, FCR, PER, and SR values were not significantly different between treatments until the end of the rearing period. The addition of FA2 could reduce the THC value and phagocytosis activity of vaname shrimp
