| Abstract: | Program Kader Keamanan Pangan (KKP) merupakan program Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM) untuk meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat terkait keamanan pangan melalui pelatihan kader dari berbagai organisasi. The Food Safety Cadre Program, initiated by the National Agency of Drug and Food Control, aims to enhance public understanding of food safety through trained cadres from various organizations. This study analyzed the influence of recruitment patterns and organizational backgrounds on cadre knowledge and community participation in communication, information, and education activities. Using a quasi experimental design, data from 13 organizations (2022–2024) were analyzed. Post test scores and the difference between post test and pre test scores were examined using Gamma regression. Community participation data were analyzed with Negative Binomial regression, and the correlation between cadre knowledge and participation was tested using Spearman’s rank. Gamma regression showed that recruitment patterns and organizational backgrounds significantly affected cadre knowledge (p < 0.050), although the score difference between post tests and pre tests was not significant. Negative Binomial regression revealed a significant effect of both factors on public participation (p < 0.050). However, the Spearman test found no significant correlation between cadre knowledge and community participation (p > 0.050). This study indicates that recruitment patterns and organizational backgrounds are key to the success of the Food Safety Cadre Program. |
