| dc.description.abstract | Land-use planners often make complex decisions within a short period of time when they must take into account sustainable development and economic competitiveness. A set of land-use suitability maps would be very useful in this respect. Ideally, these maps should incorporate complex criteria integrating several stakeholders’ points of view. This research was aimed at Land Suitability and at formulating the community development strategic. Geographical Information System method was used to define the suitability of land. The development Strategic of land use formulated at participatory method. The result of analysis suitability sting land in Palabuhanratu was (1) area of suitable for housing 271,8 Ha, (2) area of suaitable for agricultural 356,1 Ha, (3) area of suaitable for plantation 917,6 Ha, (4) area of suaitable for industry 121,2 Ha.
