| dc.description.abstract | Physico-chemical and microbiological analyses of surface waters are important in assessing the impact of domestic and industrial activities on such water bodies. The aim of this research were to determine water quality cause of household wastewater, to know community perception about management of household wastewater, and to know willingness to pay of community for aquatic environmental management effort due to household wastewater. This research was conducted on Nirwana Estate, Cibinong and Griya Depok Asri, Depok. Water quality status was analyzed by pollution index, community perception by chisquare test, and willingness to pay by contingent valuation method (CVM). Water quality of Nirwana Estate was heavy polluted (UNECE, 1994), and low pollluted (Tchobanoglous and Burton, 1991; UNESCO/WHO/UNEP, 1992; Rump and Krist, 1992; PP No.82 tahun 2001) whereas water quality of Griya Depok Asri was middle polluted (UNECE, 1994) and low polluted (Tchobanoglous and Burton, 1991; UNESCO/WHO/UNEP, 1992; Rump and Krist, 1992; PP No.82 tahun 2001). Community perception about pollution of household wastewater was not correlation with decreasing of water quality. Willingness to pay for develop household wastewater management system in Nirwana Estate is Rp. 40.455 and Rp. 60.000 in Griya Depok Asri. The results of this study indicate that water quality of Nirwana Estate more polluted than Griya Depok Asri. | id |
